This recently (and well) renovated tower from the 14th century is part of the many in the region belonging to the order of Santiago. The List of Towns of Jaén, by Philip II of 1575, describes it as: "a tower with a fence around it with its cubes and arrow slits and other signs in the middle of the town and that has a fairly deep water well inside it." for her servitude and that she and the castle are made of lime and earth and stone." (VILLEGAS DÍAZ, L. R., GARCÍA SERRANO, R., 1976. pp. 9-302).

Towards the castle converge the remains of canvases of the old walls that, in another time, completely surrounded the Villa. Of a purely defensive nature, the complex is made up of the Tower of Homage, three small towers and the remains of a large room of which only the outer wall that closed the parade ground remains, also conserving the remains of other walled elements. The Tower of Homage is a construction with rounded corners and small masonry based on materials typical of the area, among which the "tuff" stands out. It presents as a peculiarity a single entrance at half height which was accessed by parapets, possibly made of wood, which were removed in case of danger, leaving the Tower isolated. Inside, there are two vaulted rooms connected by a staircase carved into the thickness of the wall, through which there is also access to a terrace that could once have been "crenellated".
