The route from Villena, via Biar to Banyeres de Mariola, was completely off busy roads. Very well-developed cycle paths that lead through the beautiful landscape. So far the best 🚴♀️ Camino section to cycle on. Met friendly people, had nice conversations. CidCT: Camino del Cid Ciclotourista 🇪🇸 Route of the castles in the historically contested border area between the Moors and the kingdoms of Castile, Valencia and Aragon.

The Estret de Caprala is a small gorge or boulevard that runs in the form of a stony path for about 150 meters. The alternative paved track is longer and allows the passage of vehicles.

Along this section of the Camino del Cid between Biar and Villena you can enjoy incredible views. On the one hand, you pass by a bridge over the Vinalopó River that offers you a spectacular panorama over the limestone gorge that has been pierced by the waters for millennia. On the other, the castle of Biar rises up among the vegetation, this is the most similar vision to the original that you will have.
