All along this trail that circles the lake, you are close to the shore. But the section that crosses this small wood offers you superb views and quiet spots where you can sit down and enjoy the scenery.

Breiavatnet is a small, shallow lake. It is fed by a stream that flows largely underground through the city. The body of water is a popular meeting place and recreation area right in the city center, south of the cathedral. Numerous seagulls, ducks, and swans can be found there. There are many benches surrounding the lake for those seeking peace and quiet, and a decorative fountain sits in the center of the pond.

Those coming from the parking lot can choose which route they want to take: going straight ahead is a slightly more challenging path, while turning left behind the lake is a slightly more gentle route. Of course, you can also make it a circular route.

This trail will bring you very close to this beautiful lake.
