Chimay, before being known for its superb castle, its monastic life, and its famous beer, is above all a forest town. The town is located in a clearing overlooking the Ardennes forest. It is at the Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey that the Trappist Cistercian monks make beer and cheese.

Lompret Castle, located in the Wallonia region of Belgium, is a historic site with a rich history. The old feudal castle has undergone many destructions and renovations over the centuries. In the 14th and 15th centuries it was owned by the Bouzantons family and later by the Landas family in the 16th and 17th centuries. During the French Revolution it came into the hands of a blacksmith master and remained in that family. Today, only some parts of the original castle are visible. On one side you will find the former homes, which have been restored and converted into hotels and private homes. On the other side are the ruins of an old barn, flanked by the remains of a 15th-century turret. The 19th century church, built on the site of the former castle chapel, is also part of the heritage.

The Château de Trélon is a castle located in Trélon, in the north of France. It belongs to the de Merode family and has been registered as a historic monument since 1986. Built on the site of an old 15th-century fortress, the castle has undergone significant transformations over the generations, with great attention always paid to the architecture. It is a majestic Louis XIII style house, richly decorated with collections of furniture, tapestries, Sèvres porcelain and beautiful works of art. The de Merode family is one of the largest families that has been associated with most European courts throughout history. Since the 15th century, members of the House of Merode have held titles such as count, baron of the Holy Empire and prince. They are related to families such as Monaco, d'Arenberg, the Spanish and Italian royal families... The estate has been in the family since at least 1580. The castle offers guided tours from April to October and promises a visit you will long remember!

Built around 1070, this small fortress dominated the valley of Hantes. It now houses a museum retracing the history of the city and the castle.
