The Partisans' Cave, in Val Taleggio, is a cave semi-hidden among boulders and vegetation; to access it it is necessary to wade through a small stream fed by the water which, descending from above, generates a wonderful waterfall inside the cave. During the spring of 1945, partisans Giulio Bellaviti from Pizzino and Virgilio Arnoldi from Sottochiesa were killed here by Nazi-fascist forces. To remember this massacre, the cave has since taken the name "Cave of the Partisans".

At the beginning of the 20th century, when the letter "I" was between two vowels, for example two "Os", it was transformed into "Js", hence the name Bojone, equivalent to Boione. The origin of the name itself seems to date back to the "boiling" in the "BOI" dialect of the water which, flowing from below into the spring, produced large air bubbles.

The Rio Bojone, a tributary of the Brembo, is registered in the register of irrigation courses of the Lombardy Region with various names: Rio Borlezza, Boione, Borlesca, Bujone, Bagione or Bertesca (in any case to be confused with the Borlezza stream in Val Seriana).

The source of the Rio Bojone, in addition to feeding the municipal aqueduct of San Pellegrino, generates a notable quantity of waterfalls and rapids along the riverbed of its route. The aquatic spectacle and the pleasant sound generated by the flow of water along the small rapids is truly satisfying.
