Walk the last few meters to the summit

I would recommend poles. I don't think the route through all the rubble is an easy hike. The view from the summit cross is great. Path markings can sometimes be found in the form of barrier tape or plastic tape.

The choice of route plays a decisive role in the hiking experience. Two paths lead to the summit: one from the west, the other from the east. The western ascent, preferred for its shady areas in the morning, promises a pleasant hike despite its shortness and steepness. The descent can then be chosen according to personal preference, with the route via the east side initially tempting with wonderful views, but later challenging with loose scree. The view from the summit of Monte Monaco is breathtaking. The highest point of Monte Inici, from which - on the rare days when it is not covered by clouds - it is possible to admire boundless panoramas over a large part of the province of Trapani: from the Egadi Islands to the Gulf of Castellammare, passing through the countryside of Erice and Montagna Great.
