Beautiful refuge and panorama at 1700 m altitude at the end of a long and challenging climb

Refuge managed by the "Amici della Montagna" association and accessible only after taking the keys. After leaving the dirt road, it takes more than an hour to reach it, with a steep climb at times. Continuing to climb, you can reach Punta Verzel, Rama, Quinseina as well as other destinations

Alpine pasture where in summer it is easy to find many cows and herdsmen. If you climb Mount Vaccarezza starting from the municipality of Corio, it is an obligatory point of passage. From here there is still an hour to reach the summit

Open refuge with the possibility of having a shelter inside and equipped with stoves and a small kitchen. There is also a separate shed with barbecue. The Refuge is a place to be respected and kept clean.

Pietro Blessent is the name of this bivouac, located in an excellent panoramic point, with a statue of Christ the Redeemer facing the Orco valley

refuge in a spectacular position exposed to the sun, manager and staff really friendly and helpful, I recommend a phone call to make sure it is open, or to book lunch, from here round trip to the top of Monte Soglio about an hour on foot, if you want to get on a MTB a bit of portage must be taken into account.
