A beautiful castle complex and two churches, set against a panoramic backdrop of the Asti hills.

The Cisterna castle stands on the top of the hill and from a fortified enclosure, mentioned in a document from 911, it was transformed, in the Baroque era, into a noble country residence.

It rises in Astesana, in the tourist area called "Le Colline dei Fiumi", on the watershed of the Tanaro and Borbore rivers, controlling the important ridge line that connected Asti to Roero.

The pride of this small village perched on the top of the hill. Cisterna is, among other things, the only town in the province of Asti that is part of the Roero.

Govone, like many other villages in the area, is built on a hill and the roads that reach it are short climbs, still challenging... but it's worth it, both because these villages are stupendous in their architecture and in the relaxed atmosphere that reigns there, both for the grandiose views that can be enjoyed from here.
