カンポルジャーノの峡谷・トップ4

A narrow passage in the mountain that recalls the Path of the Dead that Aragorn follows in the Lord of the Rings, an absolute must-see.

Suggestive, easy, non-dangerous passage

Solco di Equi, a narrow and deep natural canyon, formed by erosion of the stream that today runs along the marble road and dominated by the north face of Pizzo d'Uccello. In this stretch you can admire plant species unique in the world such as the Pinguicola apuana (a perennial herbaceous plant whose leaves form rosettes at ground level), or be lucky enough to see the golden eagle circling that nests right on these rocky walls. Along the path there are two tunnels, between which is the small votive temple of the Madonna del Cavatore.

Super nice stalactite cave. The short, one-hour lap is definitely worth it, unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to do the two additional laps yet. Still on the wish list.

Even just getting there is worth it

Unfortunately from the lake and begins a steep climb

Rocky gully very demanding from the point of view of the difference in height but well marked by the stone "men". At the end of the ascent we arrive at a plateau where on the left we can go down to the Rossi refuge, on the right instead we begin the "Vallone dell'Eferno" for the top of the Pania.

Beautiful tourist cave, organized visits with guide. Super recommended!
