Small refuge equipped with everything you need to find refreshment in case of bad weather. Inside there is a panel that tells the wonderful story of how this little hut came to be.

The Città di Massa refuge is located in a panoramic position between the beautiful Apuan Alps and the Versilian coast. It is ideal for those who want to spend days breathing in the fresh area, tasting the flavors of the typical local cuisine and enjoying a breathtaking view of the mountains and the sea. It can be reached by car and this allows even less experienced hikers to spend time in the mountains and take easy walks. The refuge is also equipped for the reception of people with disabilities and offers large spaces inside for conferences, exhibitions, and more. Finally, the 13 bedrooms with sea / mountain views offer the possibility of staying overnight at the refuge for up to 30 people.

Various overgrown ruins and a house which is maintained by a man because it was his grandfather's house and the man spent the first years of his life here. That's all that's left of the former alpine economy. According to the man, it is also hard here because there is no water apart from rainwater. It's hard to imagine that cows once grazed here.

The map is not entirely correct here. The alternative path and the one into the valley go off at the refuge. to the main path it is about 30 m up the mountain.

Also known as Baracca Garibà. It is a construction partly in masonry and partly in wood located in a beautiful panoramic position on the slopes of Mount Folgorito in the municipality of Seravezza not far from the beginning of the path to the summit. Beyond the hut there is a sort of masonry shelter to be completed, a panoramic terrace and outdoor tables. Inside you can eat, cook something with a camping stove, drink a glass if someone has left a bottle and enjoy other small means of comfort. The view of the sea and the islands that can be glimpsed from the windows is beautiful. Outside there is an inscription: Here everyone will always find open and if you say that here is a paradise you are right.
