Short gravel road to the hut 👍

The route is uphill in some sections, exceeding 10%; the final section is on dirt road, with some sections not very compact.

Since around 2023, the entire road into the Innerfeld Valley has been closed to cars during peak season. So, you only encounter the bus, sometimes from above, sometimes from below. There are also many pedestrians and cyclists – a tranquil paradise! This valley is definitely worth the visit!

The Casies Valley (Gsieser Tal in German) is a side valley of the upper Puster Valley. The Casies Valley begins near Tesido and, going up it, you reach the border with Austria. It has some notable villages such as San Martino or Santa Maddalena and it is possible to do many activities, cycling and outdoor excursions here.

The Wildgrabenjochsteig is not too difficult; you don't need a via ferrata set. The trail isn't too long; about 100m.

The driveway on asphalt, later gravel, into the Innerfeldtal is a wonderful tour. The path ends at the Dreischusterhütte for cyclists. From here you can only hike. The gradients on the route are comparatively moderate and rarely significantly more than 10 percent. A very worthwhile and not too long tour with a beautiful destination and impressive mountain scenery.
