The cross is beautiful

The Pietra nera cliff is considered one of the most beautiful ophiolite rocks of the Parma Apennines. It is located north of Monte Canate. It has a height of 677 meters and gives rise to a landscape and morphologies that are truly singular and harsh compared to the soft surrounding hills, so much so that a short via ferrata has also been equipped on it by the CAI of Parma. More suitable for hiking, however for mountain bikes or e-bikes it would be better to avoid it, the last part to climb to the top is a little steep.

The cart road makes up most of the difference in height, ending at the entrance to the wood.
