I found it quite a challenge on a non-suspended electric folding bike. I had to walk some sections because the path was too narrow, sloping, and/or too many stones. The road was closed off at the beginning, but there was a small path around it. Nice route, but in my case, probably better to walk with the dogs.

Very quiet place, with tables and a fountain.

Panoramic point from which you can enjoy the view of Lake Albano (or Castel Gandolfo) and Lake Nemi. Both of volcanic origin, they are striking for their cobalt blue waters in contrast with the lush green of the vegetation that covers the vertiginous walls of the craters. A spectacle of nature and an open-air geology museum!

The viewpoint of the two lakes is located near the end of the Via Sacra path. It can also be reached by racing bike, although in the last 150 meters you have to push your bike along a path. From the panoramic point it is possible to admire a splendid view of Lake Nemi and Lake Albano.

Along the Via dei Laghi that connects Ciampino to the Castelli Romani you can find various mobile kiosks. Their location is wonderful, as you can admire Lake Albano in all its majestic beauty. The mobile kiosks sell the typical Roman delicacies, among which the typical Roman porchetta stands out.
