The buildings within the castle enjoy the protection of the castle walls. The Borgo houses a restaurant that invites you to linger. From the castle, you can enjoy beautiful views of Gorizia and Nova Gorizia.

The Castello Di Spessa is set in a magnificent centuries-old park. It was acquired by the Pali family in 1987, along with the surrounding vineyards, and given new life. Today, it is the heart of the Castello di Spessa Resort, featuring an 18-hole golf course, the Hosteria del Castello, a winery, a wine shop, the La Tavernetta al Castello restaurant, the Il Gusto di Casanova bistro, apartments, and meeting and event spaces.
