Lagoa da Meadinha is a small lagoon located in Peneda-Gerês National Park, in the Meadinha area, very close to the famous granite wall that attracts climbers. It is a natural lagoon with calm waters, formed by the accumulation of water in granite depressions. The landscape is spectacular: large granite boulders, meadows, and views of the Gerês mountain range. It is ideal for photography, wildlife observation, and relaxing on hiking trails.

Travanca Lagoons, a beautiful natural haven in Peneda-Gerês National Park: They are located in the parish of Cabana Maior, municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, within Peneda-Gerês National Park. The landscape is characterized by emerald green waters, a granite setting, and lush forest. They consist of a succession of lagoons and waterfalls fed by the Travanca River, which originates in the Serra do Soajo mountain range and flows into the Ázere River.

Pantano (so named by the locals), is a natural lake at an altitude of 1000 meters. The large boulder in the middle of the lake is associated with a local legend.

One of the most beautiful national parks. Surroundings very sparsely populated and not yet overcrowded with tourists. Great to discover by bike, hardly any traffic and good roads.

Easy to reach smaller bathing pump. Rather something for younger children. Still so deep that you can even swim a few strokes in it. You can park directly on the main road on the hard shoulder.

A must for travelers and hobby ornithologists is the nature reserve in northern Portugal, near Ponte de Lima. Beautiful paths and an information center!
