Mountain Lodge Gorščica is a quiet, family-friendly spot nestled on the eastern side of Medvednica, surrounded by forest and open meadows. It's especially popular on weekends for its relaxed vibe and homemade snacks like strudel and pancakes. With no electricity it offers a rustic charm – and the nearby Lipa viewpoint rewards hikers with one of the best views of eastern Zagreb.

Mountain Lodge Glavica is a cosy retreat on the western slopes of Medvednica, offering great views over Zagreb and hearty local food like pumpkin strudel and bean stew. It’s a popular weekend spot with a playground and nearby access to Veternica Cave. With 30 beds available, it’s also a great place to stay overnight.

Hunjka (877 m) is an important pass on the Medvednica ridge, over which the road from Zagreb to Stubičke Toplice passes. Next to it is the new mountain hut "Mala Hunjka", built on the foundations of the old Rauch forester's lodge, and the large Craftsmen's Lodge (Zvonimirov Dom, formerly the "Janica" hotel). Hunjka is also known as a beautiful meadow with beautiful views of Zagorje and the Slovenian mountains.
