The reasons why the route is probably closed on a section: there are some slopes where there is a risk of slipping, which could have serious consequences. Here you have to think carefully about where you are going and not stick rigidly to the route you have set. Along the lake, the path is repeatedly blocked by fallen trees, sometimes several in one pile. You can overcome these, but with the number it means a lot more effort and time. To be clear, if you don't want to go down the closed section, you have no alternative. You can only turn back.

The Hășdate Valley stretches for 31 kilometers before the stream flows into the Aries River. This stream has carved out the Turzii Gorge (by slowly raising the Jurassic limestone ridge). Shortly before the mouth, it is dammed again by the regional water authority CAA to form a small lake before it is allowed to flow over the dam to the Aries, the ram river.

Ciucaș Waterfall and Ciucaș Lake are small natural tourist attractions. They are located in the lower reaches of the Hășdate Valley, downstream of the famous Cheile Turzii Gorge. The Ciucaș Waterfall is only five meters high, but it is beautiful. At its foot there is a small lake where the water flowing over the waterfall collects. During the summer heat, people from the region gather here to cool off.

Since the beginning of the 19th century, the Central Park on the south bank of the Someșul Mic has been a popular meeting place. Its history begins in 1827, when the Jóltevö Asszonyi Egyesület organization leased the undeveloped land to create a recreational area for citizens. The park was opened to the public in the early 1830s and was originally called the People's Garden. Today, the Central Park is one of the most important green spaces in the city center.

In the meantime, the path along the lake is closed for safety reasons, so that the circular route can no longer be walked.

Great area for a stop. You can walk around the lake, cycle in the area, watch a beautiful sunset in front of the lake and it’s just next to the main road. Can usually be dirty and muddy.

Central Park is a large public, urban park in central Cluj-Napoca. It was founded in the 19th century and it located on the southern shore of Someşul Mic River. The Park is now home to the University of Arts and Design and to the Chemistry Faculty of the Babeş-Bolyai University.
