The barbecue area itself is covered. There are plenty of places to sit, some with a table. Water is available from a hand pump (note: not drinking water. It didn't cause me any problems, but if you want to be on the safe side, boil it). Toilets are near the car park.

A shelter here at the edge of the path on the heath. You can either find shelter here when it rains or take a short break and let your gaze wander over the heath.
