This highlight is the viewpoint above the Kesselwand. The Kesselwand itself is one of the Swabian Alb's largest climbing areas and offers numerous routes for beginners and advanced climbers. A path branches off from the Albtraufpfad to the climbing rock. This path is well secured with ropes and steps. The short detour around the rock is definitely worth it for a direct view. When it rains heavily, everything gets washed away; the slope is perfect for that.

In spring, access is closed because of the rare wallcreeper, which wants to nest in peace on the rock face. Please be considerate and pay attention!
