In 1629, Wallenstein's troops burned down the old manor house. The Levetzow family then built a new Renaissance-style building on the old foundations. This manor house was subsequently remodeled in the Tudor style in 1898 by the architect Schultze-Naumburg (Cecilienhof Potsdam).

This building was a mansion. In GDR times it was severely neglected. The mansion became this castle. Particularly surprising that you don't get the usual view of a castle.
