The Böhme Family Park is located approximately 1 km north of Soltau train station and is easily accessible on foot, by bike, or by public transport. The nearest stop to the park is just 500 m away. Parking is available on site.

A truly beautiful family park in Soltau. There's plenty for children to play here, and there's even an ice cream café nearby. But what child likes ice cream?

Grundlose See The Grundlose See, which is a good 2 metres deep, is 440 metres long from north to south and up to 170 metres wide in the northern area. It has an area of 4.7 hectares and is 72.5 metres above mean sea level. About 400 metres to the northeast are the elliptical Kleine See, which is 50 to 70 metres in diameter, and two other slightly smaller bodies of water. The Grundlose See was originally a remnant of the Ice Age that had almost silted up. Its preservation is not only due to the damming peat bog that grew up, but also to processes of raised bog scour formation. The lake can be walked around the shore from hiking car parks in the east (Ebbingen) and south (north of Fulde). A very beautiful, tranquil park in Soltau, with great old trees, a playground and lots of water. The many small and somewhat winding paths have created a number of cosy places. Many benches offer space for a nice break.
