Beautiful castle and newly renovated granary

Old Satow church from the 13th century, over the centuries more and more bricks crumbled and the church was sold for 425 thalers for demolition. Friedrich Franz II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg, prevented further demolition. Today it is idyllically located in a small park by the lake.

The Kleine Beke nature reserve is natural. Right now in March nature is awakening with many snowdrops. We were able to observe deer and identify many songbirds.

The Gamehl manor house was rebuilt in 1862 in neo-Gothic style on the foundations of the original baroque and single-storey manor house. The floor plan of the house is designed so that all rooms are flooded with light as much as possible. Nowadays, overnight guests in particular benefit from this when they are woken up the next morning with plenty of sunshine and can start the day relaxed. In the meantime, the manor house has been extensively restored and the rooms have also been newly furnished in a kind of country house style.

A former water castle from the 12th century was replaced in the 16th century by a building made of field stone masonry.
