Plüschow Castle is a listed manor house. It was originally built as a summer residence. Today there is an artist's house with an exhibition, studios and workshops.

The Dobin Castle of the Obotrite Prince Niklot stood here. Historically valuable place.

Dobin Castle The fortification, built by the Obotrite prince Niklot in the first half of the 12th century as a refuge for his people on a narrow isthmus between Lake Schwerin and a body of water later known as the Döpe (at this location), is, according to researchers, of enormous historical significance. This fortress became known throughout Germany through the "Wendish Crusade" of 1147. The castle not only resisted the Saxon and Danish warriors; on the contrary, the Obotrite light cavalry, hidden in the forests, continually inflicted losses on the besiegers, so that after an agreement was reached (Obotrites were apparently baptized), the siege was abandoned.
