The former gravel pit was used as a welcome bathing opportunity for a long time. Bathing is currently prohibited, but according to reports a solution is being worked on.

It is a pity that this gravel lake is not freely accessible as a swimming area. Access is repeatedly blocked. Nevertheless, locals find their way there, and rightly so: here you can swim and bathe in crystal-clear water. It would be nice if everyone took their rubbish with them.

The viewing platform is located approx. 400 m after leaving Fleethof. From here one looks over the waterlogged areas of the Galenbeck lake and can observe numerous water birds.

It is a shame that this gravel lake is not freely accessible as a swimming area. Again and again the entrance is closed. Nevertheless, locals are looking for their way there, and rightly so: here you can swim and bathe wonderfully in crystal clear water. It would only be nice if everyone took their rubbish back with them.

With trash can and shelter and with a beautiful lake and behind it is a beautiful church. It is worth it!
