The Schwerzkoer Mill is located in the middle of the idyllic Dorche Valley, right on the banks of Lake Dolche. This picturesque place, surrounded by dense forests and a gently rippling pond, invites you to linger. While you sit on the bank and let your gaze glide over the water lilies, you can enjoy homemade bread or a smoked trout in the small mill shop. Especially on warm days, it is wonderful to sit outside and take in the tranquility of the place. The mill itself, once the powerhouse for grain grinding and sawing, is now a museum and a popular tourist destination. The demonstration of the rebuilt water wheel is particularly fascinating - a relic of the past that makes the mill's long history tangible. For anyone who wants to take a look into the past, there are regular tours that will make every technology lover's heart beat faster. If you're a little hungry, there are rustic bread and lard and sweet cakes, and the coffee tastes twice as good here. Whether for a short stop or a relaxing afternoon – the Schwerzkoer Mill is a wonderful place to combine nature, history and enjoyment.

Relatively unspectacular but still a nice resting place by the water. There is nothing left to see of the former mill and unfortunately there is no café or anything similar here.

You can eat delicious food in the mill shop... the smoked trout or the goulash are very tasty... 😋
