The Knappenhütte was a former club restaurant in a holiday resort on the Knappensee. It survived the renovation of the lake, unlike many other buildings around the Knappensee. The Knappenhütte is currently used as a residential building (2024). It is anyone's guess whether it will ever be used as a restaurant again after the lake has been completely renovated.

You can take very nice reflections of trees, clouds and etc. The place is very nice for hobby photographers but also for normal photographers. You can take a lot of photos of the beautiful nature.
