Räckelwitz was first mentioned in 1280 as Rokolewicz. Since 1304 there was a manor here. After the restoration of the building, since 2008 there has been a large outpatient nursing service of the Maltese and until 2016 a nuns' convent of the Sisters of Providence with a chapel.
