In the center of the village is the castle, formerly the manor house of the von Wühlisch family of landowners. The grandson Dr. Georg von Wühlisch, who lives in Ahrensburg near Hamburg, registered his interest with the then municipal council in 1990 and acquired the property of his ancestors. In order to save the castle from decay, he renovated the walls down to the foundations. After three years of construction, 15 social apartments with modern living comfort were created in the listed castle.
