On October 1, 2024, exactly 126 years will have passed since Hohenbocka Castle was first occupied, according to the local chronicle. The building, which characterizes the townscape, was built in 1897/1898 in place of an old manor house.

Together with the stables of the former castle, the chapel survived the destructive rampage of those in power in 1948. The castle was blown up.

From 1993 to 1995 the palace complex was renovated and the roofs were re-covered. In August 2008, the Drochow group acquired the castle and the castle park from the municipality of Hohenbocka. From 2009 to 2013, the castle and its outbuildings were again extensively renovated with historic preservation aspects in mind and converted into a health and conference hotel. The park was restored true to the original according to old path and planting plans. In addition to overnight accommodation, the castle offers a restaurant, a summer and show kitchen with a café, numerous rooms for prophylactic, medical and spa treatments, a fitness and sports center, meeting rooms and a banya.
