The lake is magical, and there are some very nice shorelines for a break. Unfortunately, motocross riders have transformed the landscape around the lake into a desert with torn-up ground.

That's how it may have been! The photos are from 2019, today - five years later - the entire shore is completely overgrown! The beautiful long sandy beach no longer exists!😥

Definitely worth a detour. When approaching from Neukrug: There is no path directly across the field, but it is easy to drive along the edge of the forest in autumn. In summer the path is certainly too sandy.

Small gravel lake near the "Bombodrome". Wonderful destination for a hike and a little rest on the shore.

The Sadenbeck reservoir is an approximately 1170 meter long and a maximum of 800 meter wide still water body in the area of the municipality of Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf and the town of Pritzwalk in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg, west of Ellershagen, a part of the municipality of Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf. The state road L 154 runs to the east and the A 24 to the south-west. The Dömnitz, a left tributary of the Stepenitz, flows through the reservoir. The 80.8 hectare nature reserve (NSG) Sadenbecker Brandhorst extends to the west of the lake and the 160 hectare NSG Dömnitz to the south-west.

Wonderful lookout tower to linger and enjoy. Great view of the NSG Mönchssee ..... pure nature!

you can go around Untersee and Obersee on a path close to the shore. unfortunately not enough time planned. Other times more. Quiet and close to nature, gentle forest floor. Bathing in summer.

The lookout tower is located in the small village of Mönchhof on the edge of the lake of the same name. The Mönchsee is designated as a nature reserve.
