The Seebach Dam impounds the Singelbach stream in the Unstrut river basin. It was built between 1974 and 1976 and commissioned in 1977. It consists of a main dam and a secondary dam. The dam's primary functions are flood protection and low-water elevation. It also serves today as a source of domestic water and for local recreation.

Deep in Thuringia, picturesquely situated between Langula, Niederdorla and Großengottern, you will find the Seehausen dam. At the end of the 1970s, the Singelbach was dammed in order to provide water for irrigation in the vegetable fields in the Unstrut region. The area around the dam is protected as a landscape conservation area.

Palumpa-Land was born in 2008. The site was born out of the idea of creating a place that invites you to pause and feel good. Many beautiful materials, shapes and colors were chosen for this. The landscape is harmoniously integrated into nature. Palumpa-Land is located on a 110 hectare lake directly on the Hainich National Park. A very beautiful sandy beach, a great beach bar, party accommodation and group accommodation invite you to linger. There are parking spaces directly on the site (paved), but also in the spacious outdoor area.

Unfortunately, due to extensive renovation work, our local recreation area cannot be reached. However, you can still use the restaurants, which are also very good 👍

The hemp lake is silting up more and more and today no longer has any free water surfaces. So the bog is gradually disappearing.

Beautiful lake and a great circular route.

The village pond is a small pond/pond in Seebach with about 1ha. At its deepest point, the village pond is about 1.5 m deep and has a small island in the middle. The body of water is considered rich in fish. All important Central European fish species such as perch, bream, pike, crucian carp, carp, roach, rudd and tench are found. You can walk around it in about 10 minutes and there is also seating and a small playground.
