The waterfall in Katzenloch is fed by the Idarbach and Steinbach streams. The water is also dammed at the Idarbach. However, the sawmill that was powered by the water is no longer supplied with hydropower, so the weir gate is wide open and the waterfall is usually well supplied. The Stumm brothers established a hammer mill here in 1758, which still exists today, including a small pond.

What to say! Simply a must if it's open at the weekend. The waterfall actually murmurs quite a lot, but today the stream only had a little water. Children can romp here as they please. There are a number of scooters, bicycles, push cars and a large toboggan cushion available for this purpose.
