The Petite Camargue Alsacienne is located at the bend of the Rhine in the extreme southeast of the Haut-Rhin department, in the border triangle of France, Germany, and Switzerland. The nature reserve extends over a 15 km long and 1 to 2 km wide lowland formed by the Rhine at the southern tip of the Rhine Graben, directly after the Swiss border. The Obere Au Observatory, nestled in the heart of the Petite Camargue Alsacienne, is a true haven for nature lovers and birdwatchers. It could be a circular hike, but the path is very overgrown on the western side... Beautiful bays everywhere, despite the swimming ban 🐾

The access to the observation tower is somewhat hidden. Don't drive too fast at this height and always look carefully to your right.

This spa park is impressive due to its old trees and the beautifully landscaped pond with water fountains. The barefoot path is a must-walk.
