The Letzbergweiher is a little gem that is a worthwhile destination at any time of year. It is easy and quick to reach from Schönau. The short climb from the pond to the Heideck moat complex is also highly recommended.

The walk around the pond is really worth it. Almost half of it is designated as a bathing lake. We had nice weather at the end of October, but it was too cold for swimming.

From the Weiherfelsen you have a wonderful view of the Nonnenmattweiher. 🤩 It's worth stopping by here. Depending on the hiking direction, mine has a steep climb or steep descent.

With a length of around 325 meters and a width of 200 meters, the Nonnenmattweiher is not particularly large, but it is really beautiful to look at.
