A large part of the meadow is under water, but unfortunately I didn't see any beavers or dams.

Very beautiful quarry lake.

There are spacious sunbathing areas on the western shore. There is a secluded area for nudists at the northern end of the lake, and there is a small beach in the south of the lake. Open fires, barbecues and camping are generally not permitted. The town of Baiersdorf also points out on its website that Angersee is "not a bathing lake". The lake is therefore not supervised.

The Baiersdorfer Weiher - or as it is officially called: Angersee - is a popular local recreation area in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district. In contrast to the Dechsendorfer Weiher, around seven kilometers away, which is constantly struggling with blue-green algae, the Baiersdorfer Weiher in the Regnitzgrund has good water quality.

The lake is not far from the road from Baiersdorf to Röttenbach. Shortly after leaving Baiersdorf, there is a car park on the right after the bridge over the Regnitz and before the bridge over the Europakanal. From here it is about 500 metres to walk to the lake.

The hiking trail is partially permitted on a path through the company premises. Not a given, and one more reason to stay on the paths.

There is not much going on here and is therefore ideal for hiking.

The pond is idyllically embedded in the forest and you will find a covered rest area here that invites you to linger and relax.
