As in many towns, there is a village pond in Stifterslohe. The pond here has an interesting history and was probably created and used well over 300 years ago. He was among other things used as a carp pond and cattle trough, had even dried up in 1947 in a hot summer. In 1998 the pond was sold to the city of Sulzbach and then renovated. The story is posted in the bus shelter for reading.
