Construction of the palace began on May 12, 1712 with the laying of the foundation stone and was completed in 1719. The old castle, depicted by Michael Wening in 1701, was used as a quarry. In terms of design, the building is early Baroque. The magnificent palace gardens, based on the Versailles model, were laid out by Matthias Diesel, who also depicted them in an engraving.

The castle is essentially medieval. The Iringsburg in the Loisach Valley on the Tischberg above the city was the seat of a Hofmark of the Iringers. The "Light Berger" Duke Albrecht VI. had the old Iringsburg demolished in 1626. Today's castle was built in the late Renaissance style. Later owners are known[1] Joseph Johann Hörwarth von Hohenburg (1734), Freiherr Ferdinand von Gumppenberg (1778), Karl Freiherr von Beck (1863), Philipp Pfister (1887), Georg Käß (1890). In 1845, mountaineer Hermann von Barth was born at Eurasburg Castle. In 1866 a neo-Gothic redesign was carried out. In 1908 it was restored to its original condition. After a fire in 1976, it was rebuilt and divided into individual apartments. Two- or three-storey plastered three-wing building in late Renaissance forms with protruding central tower, lateral onion towers and former palace chapel, attributed to Peter Candid 1626-30. From here there is a hiking trail to Greiling. So you don't have to walk along the main street.
