Beautifully situated on the Rammsee lake... if necessary, you can certainly find a place to rest for the night here.

Tetenhusen Hay Hostel: Sleep in the hay on a working farm: 30 beds, farm café with breakfast, half-board, and full-board options available upon request. Canoe launching is available at the nearby jetty. However, we didn't see any activity there in August 2025.

THE COLD HEART The well-known fairy tale "The Cold Heart" by Wilhelm Hauff deals with the difficult life of a charcoal burner. Peter, a charcoal burner in the depths of the Black Forest, is fed up with the poor and hard life of a charcoal burner and exchanges his heart with the evil Dutchman Michel for one made of stone, thereby becoming a wealthy man. But in doing so, he also becomes arrogant, stingy, and cruel, and incurs grave guilt. He is very unhappy, but with the help of the well-meaning glass man, he is able to win back his heart from Dutchman Michel, so that the eternal struggle between good and evil finally finds a happy ending.

Beautiful sheltered rest hut directly at the Rammsee.

Here you can see, using an example of a small house, where and how the charcoal burner was housed in the forest. The charcoal burner is the man who had to make sure that the fire did not go out. The resulting coal was used for heating, among other things.

A 100 m long path leads to the bird hut in the ship. The large station has three spacious observation windows and several seating areas.

Very nice new shelter at the Ramsee. The benches are so wide that you can comfortably take a nap ;-)

Perfect place for all motorhome enthusiasts with an unobstructed view of the NOK👍!
