Noer Castle is not open to the public. It's a youth guesthouse, similar in style to a youth hostel, where youth orchestras and other groups can hold workshops or rehearsal retreats. Inside, there are beautiful halls with pianos for performances, but it's not at all grand. We were here for a violin workshop. However, you can use Noer Castle as a starting point for a hike and, of course, view it from the outside. There's also a bus stop here.

Tip: It is worth walking just behind the castle in the direction of the forest, there is an incredibly large old oak tree. Still behind the park.

Karlsburg Castle is in the municipality of Winnemark, which in turn belongs to the district of Schwansen. All of these places and communities belong to the Schwansen region. The oldest part of Karlsburg (also spelled Carlsburg) was first mentioned in 1352 as Gereby, Winnemark itself was first mentioned in 1462. Tip: You can walk around the moated castle, the path is not private.
