The Hohburg is a small group of wooden houses in the forest.

The long swimming area has its own parking space, a football field, a barbecue area, a swing and a bench.

The Hohburg area is private and you are asked not to enter the footbridge. But you can hike through at any time of the year.

The refuge on the hill is the starting point for some flowing descents. Short stairs and steps around the "summit hut" are great for technique training for beginners.

The Hohburg is located on the Börner peninsula on the Westensee. Many years ago there was a robber baron's castle nearby - hence the name. Not much can be seen of the castle today. Only the ring wall still bears witness to this. A wall can still be seen across the Börner, where the new pump is today. He will have protected the castle on the land side with a palisade fence. Today there are three small huts here. Youth groups etc. can spend the night here in nature.
