The report around the hill and through the forest was the highlight of the tour for me. The "Indian Summer" begins here at the end of October. Simply a brilliant play of colors.

The Mistlochgraben flows in the Hubertus Gorge. The Hubertus Viaduct is a stone bridge with six arches. The Hunsrückbahn railway line is in operation from Boppard to Emmelshausen. It is considered the steepest operated railway line in Germany with an altitude of 335 meters over an 8 km length.

A nice long climb. Nothing demanding, but about half a meter wide and it goes deep and steep downhill. A head for heights and surefootedness are required. I wouldn't go that route if it were wet.

On the Rheinsteig stage between Kestert and Kaub there is a great section with an extraordinary view of mossy slopes. A great sight.
