A beautiful hike through a truly special valley. From Dörsbach, the trail ascends in numerous steps through the gorge, past many "waterfalls" over which the Wäschbach stream carves its way through the steep valley. Not a hike for beginners!

The Dörsbachtal is more of a hiking valley and is only recommended for mountain biking to a limited extent because there are many carrying sections and you need thorn protection at the bottom.

The section directly on the Dörsbach is particularly beautiful. We used the entrance in Klingelbach at the grill hut. Well signposted, always follow the D. The mills are not managed. There is a café in Herold. Open only on Sundays from 2pm to 6pm.

I highly recommend it! This is my home track. The Four Valleys Tour/ for hiking or biking. You can always drive well and reinvent it again and again if you know your way around. There are plenty of options for a stop or small snacks. I like traveling here. 👌👌

Unfortunately, we failed on July 31, 2022 after the Neubäckersmühle because there were trees over a stream bed that we should have crossed, which made it absolutely impossible to continue. So back to the Obermühle. It is a pity that this is not passable until today. Otherwise, the path from Katzenelnbogen to the Obermühle is beautiful. But you can't stop there anymore!

Both sides of the Dörsbachtal are simply awesome. Long S0-1 passages on the right, interrupted by S2-S4 pieces, some of which can only be overcome by carrying. Easy on the left, but unfortunately overgrown, which makes it a hell of a ride in summer. Definitely wear protectors, otherwise you will be torn apart by the jungle

Very demanding route. This should only be done in dry weather, as some sections are on slate or clayey ground. Hikers may come across the other way at any time. I did the tour from Katzenelnbogen to Arnstein Monastery, starting and finishing in Koblenz. On the middle path (S2) from the valley up to the monastery there are several tree trunks that have to be climbed over. Since the bark has already been sanded smooth, it seems that they have been in position for a long time.
