The landscape park is elaborately and lovingly designed. There is something for all ages to experience here: from a sandpit and playground for the little ones to a football pitch and skate park to a sunbathing area, boules pitch and fitness equipment, everything is there to have a good time. I found the nutrias particularly funny – not to be confused with muskrats.

The old slider house is a technical monument on the shore of Lake Hertha. The lake was built in 1846 to supply water to the Holzappel pit near Dörnberg-Hütte. Today there is a small park and a swimming pool on the shore.

The rustic "Schieberhäuschen" on the dam of the Herthasee is a relic from the eventful history of the small mountain lake on the southern slope of the Höchst. An information board informs interested hikers and walkers about the original purpose of the museum-grade technical monument.

Beautiful lake. The lap is also pleasant and quick to run. Whether for a short hike, after a meal in the coffee shop, to play in the playground or for a swim.

Nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the controls at the end of May 2020 were extremely slow, probably because of inexperience. We had to wait far too long for a few drinks. Otherwise nice location.

Here I was once without a bike, but with the family. Beautiful lake with hiking trails all around. There is a small playground for children - we spent some time here with our son. In the summer it was nice to be able to just put your feet in the cool water.
