A spacious, inviting hut with a stamp station at Fuchshübel. The hut bears the inscription: "The rustling in the forest made me realize I couldn't leave my home!" (By: Anton Günther) Note: The summit is located on private property, so the stamp station, which marks the summit as a destination on the "14 Eight-Thousanders" tour, has been relocated. It is now located below Fuchshübel, at the shelter towards Kohlhaukuppe.

All of these 8000m peaks are worth a visit across the board.

Frank Meutzner, mountaineer, alpinist and Himalayan expert, took up the words of fellow mountaineer Götz Wiegand on a 1999 Himalayan expedition to Manaslu, who said: "I will climb more mountains that start with an eight". Unfortunately there is no view on the 8,000er. The descent or ascent on the adjacent bob run is very attractive.

The view makes up for it if it's not open here. It's really hard to please everyone today and keep a snack bar going here. So thank the operator by grabbing a drink or whatever they have on offer and enjoying the view.

Unfortunately, the Kahlebergbaude has not been in operation for years due to the lack of a water connection, but a food truck provides hikers and cyclists with a small selection of hot and cold food and drinks.
