The castle park in Bad Rappenau is a beautiful place, captivating with its central location and impressive natural surroundings. The park offers a pleasant atmosphere and a relaxing atmosphere, especially under the shade of the mature trees, some of which are over 160 years old. A special highlight is the Kneipp pool, fed by fresh spring water.

The three-storey building, located in a beautiful park on Babstadter Strasse, was completed in 1601 by Eberhard von Gemmingen on the site of an old moated castle. The building stands on oak tree trunks driven into the ground. The castle lake is fed by the Mühlbach, which flows nearby and is culverted.

The spa park was built in its current location in the 1960s. Extensive renovation and redesign took place for the 2008 State Garden Show. The centerpiece of the park remains the spa park lake. A spacious staircase in the west provides access to the water. The "Bächle" stream, which flows through Bad Rappenau's town center, also flows into the lake at the same location.

The lake is a reservoir and is flowed through by the Tiefenbach, which flows into the Mühlbach and finally into the Neckar. The shore of the lake is lined with trees and bushes, which gives it an idyllic atmosphere.

The path leads directly along the Mühltalsee and then along a beautiful stream. The possibility of starting directly from the car park makes the path particularly interesting for a family outing.

Events and exhibitions are regularly held in the water castle. It is one of the most popular photo motifs in Bad Rappenau. Koi and water turtles can be found in the surrounding lake.
