The Himmelmoor is one of the highlights in the vicinity. Here you have a great view of an impressive moor. If the peat train is running, you can even drive it through the moor. On the castle island you can admire numerous art installations or relax and linger on the hidden benches. The atmosphere is magical and if you like, you can stop by the castle prison café. It was probably never a real prison, but the officials in question had two small cells at their disposal, in which they occasionally had overnight guests until 1927.
