Due to large agricultural operations and biogas plants in the vicinity, heavy oncoming traffic with very large and fast machines can be expected all day long, especially during the harvest season, and at times there will be dirty roads and confusing road junctions and field exits!

The Segeberg Forest, formerly known as the Segeberg Heath, is the second largest forest area in Schleswig-Holstein after the Sachsenwald Forest. Numerous hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails crisscross the approximately 40 square meters. While spruce, larch, oak, and beech trees dominate much of the Segeberg Forest, the landscape changes in the south around the town of Bark and becomes a heathland. Tucked away in the middle of the forest is the small Krattkoppelsee lake. A dream! It was my first time cycling through the moor and suddenly I came across this little lake. Unfortunately, I had to leave the bike behind and first walk the small path to the five swans. A very quiet and relaxed place!

I discovered the lake by chance while cycling and immediately went on a hike with my family the next day. Everyone thought it was very nice.

The Lundener See is somehow a mystical place. You are almost always all alone here, only in summer the mosquitoes dispute your place😊.

You have never seen anything like this up here in the north around Hamburg!
