Today, Ascension Day, there was a fishing festival at the pond. There was a lot going on.

Alsdorfer Weiher, even though it is not suitable for bathing or drinking, is still beautiful to look at in autumn.

The "Red Sea" lies between the villages of Mensfelden and Heringen. In 2001, the Heringen fishing club took over the maintenance of the pond and has been looking after the facility ever since.

A beautiful pond with benches that invite you to rest. Two or three times I saw something jump out of the water out of the corner of my eye, and in two places people were fishing - there is obviously life in the water.

The Beuerbach Lake is an artificial pond that lies in a valley between the districts of Wallrabenstein, Beuerbach and Bechtheim in the municipality of Hünstetten in the Rheingau-Taunus district (Hesse). The lake is fed by the Schornbach and Klingelbach. The idea for the reservoir came from Egon Alberti, who was a member of the municipal council and a member of the Beuerbach local council at the time. On May 30, 1979, the engineer Ernst Zimmermann from Westerburg was commissioned to plan the project and on May 17, 1982 the groundbreaking ceremony took place. On September 17, 1982, the inflow lock was closed and on October 22, 1982, the "Beuerbach Participants' Association" handed the lake over to the municipality. Since then, the Beuerbach Lake has been a popular local recreation destination for hikes, walks, family outings, nature lovers and photographers.
