The chapel was built in 1952 as a thank you for being rescued from war and captivity. It is dedicated to the patron saint, St. Christopher, who is depicted in a picture in the chapel.

The Nippchen nature reserve, access is prohibited. It is of course located on the Emsbach and not on the Eisenbach.

The 20-meter-high prison tower is part of the medieval city wall and is considered one of the town's landmarks. The tower, which ends with an arched frieze and battlements, was renovated and plastered on the outside in 2004. It is believed that it originally had a wooden roof.
