In summer you can cool off nicely.

One of the most beautiful and romantic gorges in the Spessart, although at the end you can see the town above the gorge. Cycling is prohibited and must be observed. Either leave it or push it! There's a lot to see anyway, so it's a shame to drive through. It's not very busy during the week, but you still shouldn't annoy the hikers. That doesn't go down well, thundering at them. There are some trails around Klingenberg that are prohibited. The gorge is part of it. Also a salamander sanctuary

If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely plan to do so! An adventure for young and old!!!

The Laudenbach valley is short and very lovely. From the spring to where it flows into the Main, the stream runs through a meadow bordered by forest on both sides. The source of the Laudenbach is near a forester's lodge ensemble with several houses. There you can actually spend the night in a newly furnished guest room. The bottom of the valley is so secluded that, especially in the evening, you feel transported to another time. There are several trout ponds at the bottom of the Laudenbach valley. In autumn you can buy fresh and smoked trout on site. From Laudenbach there is a beautiful, very relaxing path on which you can walk around the small Laudenbach valley. Ideal for families, for picnics and also for barbecues.

I've been through the gorge a few times now... unfortunately only seen small stone works of art, painted on stone

After storm damage in spring 2022, the Seltenbachschlucht is closed for safety reasons! Before visiting, please find out whether it is available again - e.g. via: https://www.stadt-klingenberg.de/seite/de/churfranken/016:533:538/-/Seltenbachschlucht.html Unfortunately, there are no signs at the city parking lots or the signposts towards Seltenbachschlucht. Without prior information, you may set off only to be stopped right at the beginning of the gorge or one of the entrances before a blockage (e.g. by a construction fence)!

Beautiful canyon... for the time being... keep your feet still there.... And to bring this up to date: the gorge has been open again since last Saturday...15.04.23

The reason for the current closure is probably a rock fall
